Chinatown Work Ltd. provides a one-time QR payment stand setup service, including Stripe registration guidance, a branded QR payment stand, and a dedicated payment page for your business. Ongoing technical support is available by contacting us directly.

A one-time setup fee of £99–£149 (or £149+ for outside-area appointments) is payable at the time of setup by bank transfer or cash. This fee covers setup labour, the QR payment stand, and onboarding support only. No monthly platform fee is charged by Chinatown Work Ltd.

Each merchant must register their own Stripe account and independently agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Chinatown Work Ltd. assists with the registration process but is not responsible for Stripe's approval decisions, account policies, transaction limits, or any future changes to Stripe's services.

All customer payments are processed by Stripe directly into the merchant's own Stripe account. Chinatown Work Ltd. does not hold, access, or transfer end-customer funds at any time. Merchants are solely responsible for managing their own Stripe account and any associated transactions, disputes, or chargebacks.

WeChat Pay and Alipay require separate approval by Stripe and are not guaranteed to be activated. Chinatown Work Ltd. will assist merchants in applying for these payment methods through Stripe, but cannot guarantee their activation. Availability will be confirmed before or at the time of setup.

Merchants may request a full refund of the one-time setup fee within 14 days of installation if unsatisfied with our service, provided the QR payment stand is returned in good condition. Chinatown Work Ltd. is not liable for any losses arising from Stripe account decisions, payment disputes, third-party service outages, or events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

When you enquire about or use our services, we may collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, and business address. This information is provided directly by you when you contact us or arrange a setup appointment. We do not collect payment card information — setup fees are paid by bank transfer or cash.

We use your information solely to provide our setup services, communicate with you about your appointment and ongoing support, and process your setup fee. We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

In order to assist you in registering a Stripe Connect account, your business details may be shared with Stripe Inc. during the onboarding process. Stripe independently processes all end-customer payment data; Chinatown Work Ltd. does not store, view, or access customer payment information at any point. Stripe's own privacy policy governs data processed through their platform. Please review it at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data held by Chinatown Work Ltd. You also have the right to object to how we use your data or to request that we restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We retain your business contact information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable legal obligations. This policy is governed by UK data protection law. No. Payments are processed by Stripe and paid directly to the merchant's own Stripe account. Chinatown Work Ltd. does not handle end-customer funds at any time.

Yes. The public site supports English and Chinese, and merchant payment messages can be prepared for multilingual use.
